Quartz Countertop Care
Quartz, a highly durable mineral, is combined with small amounts of polyester resins, which add color and make the surface non-porous. This means quartz countertops never require sealing and are naturally resistant to stains and scratches.
Maintenance
While quartz countertops resist permanent stains from liquids like wine, vinegar, or soda, it’s best to clean up spills immediately. Use mild dish soap and a soft cloth for fresh messes. For dried stains, try a glass or surface cleaner with a nonabrasive sponge. For hardened substances like gum or paint, gently scrape them off with a plastic knife.
Cleaning
For optimal cleaning, generously spray a nonabrasive surface cleaner on your countertop and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then, wipe it away with a non-scratch sponge.
If your countertop chips and you recover the piece, keep it—most chips can be repaired with epoxy. Avoid standing, kneeling, or sitting on your countertops, as this could cause them to crack or break.
